Electric Current : The rate of flow of charge through a given area of cross-section is called as Electric Current.

Current Density : The Current per unit area normally through a given area of cross-section is called as Current Density.

Resistance : The Opposition offered to the flow of current is called as Resistance .

Note: The Resistance depends on the length of the conductor , area of the conductor and temperature.

Ohm’s Law : It states the ” The amount of current flowing through a given conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference across the ends of the conductor.

Kirchhoff’s Current Rule : The algebraic sum of Current at a particular node or junction is always zero. That is , the total inward current is equal to total outward current.

Kirchhoff’s Voltage Rule : The sum of EMF in a particular circuit is equal to the potential drops across all the other components.
